This is a local Gympie business that wanted to improve the look of their office with a new ceiling. Previously there was only a mezzanine floor supported with z purlins, situated less than 200mm above the ceiling. This lack of space can make adjusting ceiling heights more difficult since normally they are installed on a fixed height clip. What this means is that it is more important than usual to have the ceiling heights correct. We do this with the use of high end laser levels. In addition to laser levelling we also use laser squares to ensure the tiles fit correctly.
The ceiling grid that has been installed is the Rondo exposed grid system. Rondo is an Australian company that has been around since 1959 and continues to make quality products to this day. The ceiling has been fitted with an economy class mineral fibre tile. Mineral fibre tiles have surged in popularity over the last 10 years, due to advances in anti sag technology. Considering the benefits these tiles offer and that they are now the same price as vinyl faced tiles, this makes them an excellent choice for any ceiling.
